We are looking for the type of person who has the following:-
Responsibilities/Skills
Financial Management & Project Reporting:-
- Review and approve project budgets, ensuring accurate monitoring and reporting of performance
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Contract Administrators to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring comprehensive reporting
- Work with the CFO to forecast cash flows and address any financial issues
Contract Management:-
- Establish fair contractual terms that align with project scope and risk requirements
- Serve as the escalation point for commercial issues and disputes, ensuring compliance with contract conditions
- Maintain and update contract templates to address identified issues
Project Planning, Support & Management:-
- Monitor project activities to ensure commercial objectives are met and compliance with procurement processes
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate records and documentation
Team Management:-
- Oversee the contract administration team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Identify training and development needs to enhance team performance and efficiency
- Conduct regular reviews and provide guidance to support team members’ growth
Performance & Continuous Improvement:-
- Monitor KPIs to ensure compliance and efficiency in project deliverables
- Provide guidance on procurement and contract administration best practices across the business
Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Attributes:-

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract administration or project management within the design and construction field
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a tertiary qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, commerce, or business administration
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Thorough knowledge of construction contracts, financial management, and risk management
- Proficiency in cloud construction management platforms (e.g. Procore) and business productivity software (e.g. Google Workspace)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high level of attention to detail
